Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data the Vezu mobile app and the vezuavto.com website collect, why, who can see it, and what rights you have. It applies to everyone who uses Vezu: customers, carriers and their team members.
1. Who is responsible
The data controller is Serhiy Potishuk (Vezu, vezuavto.com). For any privacy question or request, write to support@vezuavto.com.
2. What we collect and why
| Data | Why | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Phone number and an account ID | To sign you in with an SMS code, and so that a customer and a carrier can contact each other about an order. | Contract, Art. 6(1)(b) |
| Orders: cargo description (for a vehicle: make, model and optionally the VIN), weight, cargo cost, pickup and drop-off country, postcode, address and coordinates, pickup deadline | To show the order to carriers, search by distance, and carry out the delivery. | Contract, Art. 6(1)(b) |
| Carrier details: carrier name, team members and their roles, phone numbers of people invited to the team, trucks (label, capacity, maximum weight) | To let several people work under one carrier and to plan loads. | Contract, Art. 6(1)(b) |
| Deal and delivery history: which carriers were interested, who was selected, delivery steps and their times | To run the delivery and to know who may leave feedback. | Contract, Art. 6(1)(b) |
| Feedback: rating, problem tags, comment and replies | To build each user's and carrier's reputation. | Legitimate interest in a safe marketplace, Art. 6(1)(f) |
| Fraud reports: description and evidence photos | To protect users from fraud. An account with several reports is flagged. | Legitimate interest in preventing fraud, Art. 6(1)(f) |
| Technical data: IP address, request time, device and app version in server logs, and the device checks Firebase runs during sign-in | To keep the service secure, stop abuse and fix errors. | Legitimate interest in security, Art. 6(1)(f) |
The app does not use your device's location, contacts or advertising ID. Locations come only from what you enter. Photos are taken only when you attach them to a fraud report. We do not use analytics or advertising trackers, and the website sets no cookies.
We do not record payments. Delivery prices and payments are agreed directly between users, outside Vezu.
3. Who can see your data
- Carriers see open orders: the cargo, weight, cargo cost, places and deadline. They see the customer's phone number only after they mark interest in the order.
- The customer sees the carriers interested in their order, with their names, reputation and contact phone number.
- Team members of a carrier see the carrier's orders, deliveries, trucks and team.
- Feedback and a fraud flag are visible to other users, because that is what reputation is for. The evidence photos are not public: only Vezu sees them, to check the report.
- When you tap a call, Viber or WhatsApp link, that app opens and its own privacy policy applies.
We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising.
4. Service providers and where data is stored
- Google Cloud and Firebase (Google Ireland Ltd.): sign-in by phone number, the app's server, photo storage and this website. The servers are in Warsaw, Poland.
- Neon (Neon Inc., running on Amazon Web Services): the database, in Frankfurt, Germany.
These providers process data only on our behalf. Some of them are US companies. Where data may be accessed from outside the EU, it is protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
5. How long we keep data
- Account, orders and carrier data: while your account exists.
- Server logs: up to 30 days.
- Fraud reports and evidence: as long as the report counts towards a flag, so that it cannot be avoided by deleting an account. If a reported account is deleted, we keep a one-way fingerprint of its phone number (the number can't be recovered from it), so the reports return if the same number signs up again.
- After an account is deleted, feedback and fraud reports stay in the other users' history without your phone number.
6. Deleting your account
Write to support@vezuavto.com from any address and give the phone number of your account. We will confirm that the number is yours and delete the account and its personal data within 30 days. If you are the only owner of a carrier, the carrier is deleted as well.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR and the Law of Ukraine "On Personal Data Protection", you have the right to:
- get a copy of your data and receive it in a machine-readable format;
- correct inaccurate data;
- have your data deleted or its processing restricted;
- object to processing based on legitimate interest.
Write to support@vezuavto.com; we will reply within one month. You may also complain to the data protection authority in your EU country, or in Ukraine to the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights.
8. Children
Vezu is meant for adults. People under 18 should not use it.
9. Changes
If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page with a new date. We will tell you in the app about significant changes.
